How to Factory Reset the Netgear N750 (WNDR4000) Wi-Fi Wireless Router

  1. Make sure your Netgear WNDR4000 is powered on.
  2. Locate the factory reset button on the back of the WNDR4000 router.
  3. Using a paper clip or similar pointed object, press and hold the reset button for at least 7 seconds.
  4. Release the button and wait 2-3 minutes for the router to fully reboot.
  5. You can now reconfigure your WNDR4000 using the default credentials below.

NOTE: If the factory (also known as hard) reset button on your Netgear WNDR4000 is too small to push with your finger, try using an object such as the tip of a paper clip.

This is often the best way to press the reset button on Netgear routers.

Netgear N750 (WNDR4000) Default Login Credentials

After performing a factory reset, your Netgear WNDR4000 will be restored to its default settings. Use the following credentials to access the router’s admin panel:

  • Default IP Address: 192.168.1.1
  • Default Username: admin
  • Default Password: password

Open a web browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1 or http://www.routerlogin.net to access the Netgear WNDR4000 setup page.

The Netgear N750 (WNDR4000) is a simultaneous dual-band Wireless-N router with combined speeds up to 750 Mbps (300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz + 450 Mbps on 5 GHz).
