How to Factory Reset the GL.iNet Flint 2 (GL-MT6000) Wi-Fi Wireless Router
- Ensure your router is powered on.
- Locate the reset button on your GL-MT6000 Flint 2 router.
- Press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds.
- Release the button when the power LED begins to flash.
- Wait 2-3 minutes until your router has fully reset and restarted.
- You can now reconfigure your router by connecting to its default Wi-Fi network and accessing the admin panel.
NOTE: If the factory (also known as hard) reset button on your GL.iNet Flint 2 is recessed, try using an object such as the tip of a paper clip to press it.
This is often the best way to press the reset button on GL.iNet routers.
GL.iNet Flint 2 (GL-MT6000) Default Login Credentials
After performing a factory reset, your GL.iNet Flint 2 will be restored to its default settings. Use the following information to access the router’s admin panel:
- Default IP Address: 192.168.8.1
- Default Username: root (for LuCI) / none for admin panel
- Default Password: Set by user during first-time setup
Open a web browser and navigate to 192.168.8.1 to access the GL.iNet Flint 2 admin panel. After a factory reset, you will be prompted to create a new admin password during the initial setup wizard.
