How to Factory Reset the Ubiquiti UniFi Express (UX)

1. Ensure your UniFi Express is powered on.
2. Locate the factory reset button on the UniFi Express.
3. Press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds using a paper clip or similar object.
4. Release the button when the LED begins to flash.
5. Wait 2-3 minutes until the UniFi Express has fully reset and restarted. The 0.96-inch status display will show the boot progress.
6. You can now reconfigure the UniFi Express using the UniFi Network app or web browser.

NOTE: A factory reset will erase all configurations and settings on your UniFi Express. Make sure to back up your UniFi Network configuration before performing a reset.

This is often the best way to resolve persistent issues with Ubiquiti UniFi gateways.

Ubiquiti UniFi Express (UX) Default Login Credentials

After performing a factory reset, your UniFi Express will be restored to its default settings. Use the following information to access the admin panel:

• Default IP Address: 192.168.1.1
• Default Username: Set during initial setup (Ubiquiti account)
• Default Password: Set during initial setup (Ubiquiti account)

Open a web browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1 to access the UniFi OS setup wizard. You can also set up the UniFi Express using the UniFi Network mobile app (available on iOS and Android) via Bluetooth.
