How to Factory Reset the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 (D7000) Modem Router
- Make sure your Netgear D7000 is powered on.
- On the back of the modem router, locate the Reset button to the right of the leftmost antenna.
- Using a paper clip or similar pointed object, press and hold the reset button for at least 7 seconds.
- Release the button. The Power LED will start blinking amber as the configuration resets to factory defaults.
- Wait approximately 2 minutes for the modem router to fully reboot.
- You can now reconfigure your D7000 using the default credentials below.
NOTE: If the factory (also known as hard) reset button on your Netgear D7000 is too small to push with your finger, try using an object such as the tip of a paper clip.
This is often the best way to press the reset button on Netgear routers.
Netgear D7000 Default Login Credentials
After performing a factory reset, your Netgear D7000 will be restored to its default settings. Use the following credentials to access the modem router’s admin panel:
- Default IP Address: 192.168.0.1
- Default Username: admin
- Default Password: password
Open a web browser and navigate to 192.168.0.1 or http://www.routerlogin.net to access the Netgear D7000 setup page.
